My name is Olimpia Iuhas, and I have been a designer for the last 40 years. I pour my knowledge, my experience, and my love in every piece I make. They’re little bits of my imagination and I bring them to life. I take great pride in my work and no detail gets overlooked.
After finishing the high school for Plastic Arts, I continued my education at the design school for Fashion. Fallowing my graduation, I worked at an apparel enterprise in the “creating” department. After I got married to my husband, with whom I’ve been with for the last 35 years, I transferred to a company for knitted fabrics and clothing, where I was the main collection designer. In 1989 I entered the educational branch, teaching at a professional school. The technology of apparel, clothing design and fabrication, and advance tailoring were a few among the many subjects I was teaching.
In 1995 I relocated to Chicago, where I worked for a fashion designer for 15 years. In 2012, I decided to stay home and take care of my amazing granddaughters and start building my own business. Currently, I have two shops.
I adore creating one of a kind and totally unique pieces, but most of all, I love creating my own fabrics and materials. I take inspiration from nature and all that surrounds me. I love antiques with a story, it sparks my imagination to give them new life and purpose. I put love in every stitch I make. You will appreciate the high quality in workmanship in the items I make. I hope you will enjoy wearing them as much as I enjoy making them. I love what I do, I am an artist, I create beauty.
